Annunziata Morant

Annunziata Morant is an artist, collector, introvert, and cat enthusiast based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (Printmaking) from OCAD University (2016). Her practice is largely influenced by thanatological themes and 19th century death customs popular during the Victorian era. Her works vary between two-dimensional and three-dimensional formats; from watercolor paintings reminiscent of illustrations found in encyclopedias, to delicately crafted paper sculptures; the results are always lavished with conspicuous details. Often focusing on the more somber side of life, Morant’s work will leave you feeling nostalgic and perhaps even a little bit horrified.
